Ms. Blackwell says software developers are giving consumers many updates, quickly... but not every revision is going to be popular with all users. So what if you download an upgrade that you don't like? It can be tricky, since some software makers don't give you access to your original program. Blackwell's advice? If you like a software program, hang on to the installer file, a backup. Then, if you don't like the upgrade later, you can restore the original yourself.
