Alpharetta, GA. September 18, 2001
NewsProNet is taking immediate action to refocus the content of the existing Quicken money service to focus on "Investing in America." Effective, October 1st the 5-day per week consumer money coverage that is already established and airing in more than 80 local markets will be even more relevant and important to your audience in light of the events of September 11th and the resulting economic situation.

All licensed clients will continue to receive stories about saving, spending and investing, but these reports will now concentrate on issues raised by our new reality, such as avoiding charity rip-offs and scams, as well as profiles on innovative people and organizations having an impact on America's economy during this period in our lives.

NewsProNet will maintain this focus for as long as necessary, beginning most noticeably with next week's feed containing stories for air beginning the week of October 1, 2001.

To further enhance the credibility of this new approach, we are very proud to announce that longtime CNN Anchor/Reporter Lou Waters joins NewsProNet as the managing editor, bringing with him decades of credibility and the ability to develop compelling stories about people. Lou will become the voice of these consumer money reports for stations not using local talent to track and the host of the half hour specials.

Please stand by for more announcements about how we are seamlessly transforming your daily consumer money reports and related online web content to provide you with a regular flow of content to help you and your audience respond to our new national reality.
